The Equine Science Program from PTC Give isn't just another education program — it's an effort to give underserved kids something more: opportunity, confidence, connection.
Based in Poway, CA, and deeply rooted in the local community, we mix science, agriculture, and horsemanship in a way that's both practical and inspiring. A portion of every sale at San Diego Trail Company goes straight to support the program.
At the heart of it all is the Poway Equestrian Center: part classroom, part barn, part playground for learning. Kids blend book knowledge with hands-on experience, and because school still matters, we've built in homework help and tutoring.
The benefits extend well beyond academics. The program shapes well-rounded individuals through real-world practice.
Beyond its afterschool structure, the program introduces an expansive course catalog — cultivating life skills, scientific understanding, and career readiness for curious learners of all ages.

Had a wonderful morning riding the trails accessed from the ranch. Beautiful part of the county and a true delight to ride through the SDTC facility. Next time… longer ride, today was a shorter ride, by our choice, due to the heat wave in the San Diego's east county. Still, was perfect and highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience celebrating my daughter's birthday with a horseback riding adventure! Our guide was incredibly nice, patient, and informative. She took the time to explain everything and was so gentle with my daughters, making them feel comfortable and confident. I really appreciated how she made their first horseback riding experience so cool and memorable. We will definitely be back again! Thank you for creating such a wonderful memory for our family!
